Got a question?
What apprenticeships are available?
We offer both Bar and Waiting and Chef apprenticeships. So whether you love shaking cocktails and meeting guests or want to make a career out of cooking, we could have the perfect opportunity for you.
Why should I choose a hospitality apprenticeship?
Hospitality is great fun. You might not believe that work can be fun, but are there many workplaces where you can make somebody’s day every day? Or many places you aren’t chained to a desk from 9-5? Sure it can be hard work too, but we offer great rewards! With a hospitality apprenticeship, you will gain real experience and new skills, with an award-winning support network to give you valuable advice. When you finish your qualification, you will have documentation to prove all your transferable skills and experience.
Why should I choose Mitchells & Butlers?
There are hundreds of reasons you should choose Mitchells & Butlers, maybe even thousands. The people. Our culture. 33% team discount. But here are fourteen of them. Harvester. Toby Carvery. All Bar One. Sizzling Pubs, Vintage Inns, Ember Inns, Stonehouse, Castle, Nicholson’s, Premium Country Pubs, O’Neill’s, Miller & Carter, Browns, Innkeeper’s Lodge. Phew. That’s right, we have 14 brands across 1600 locations in the UK, and some in Germany too. That means the opportunities for progression here really are endless. Whether you want to work in a family pub in Sunderland or an upmarket restaurant in central London, we have something for you.
What do I need?
There are some ‘must haves’ when applying for an apprenticeship at Mitchells & Butlers. You must be passionate about a career in hospitality, with a desire to learn. We don’t expect you to have any relevant experience, we’re looking for your personality and potential instead! So if you are looking for your first job, or tempted by a change in career, an apprenticeship could be a great choice for you.
When can I start an apprenticeship?
Our apprenticeships are starting on 17th May when our pubs reopen their doors.
How long is my apprenticeship?
Our apprenticeships will take between 12 to 15 months to complete
What happens once I've registered my interest?
Once you've registered your interest, the hard work is done and we will contact you. Due to our pubs remaining closed at present, we can't promise to call you back straight away. Our vacancies will be live by the 12th of April, but a member of the team will be in contact with you over the coming days to understand what you're looking for and try to match you to a suitable vacancy. Please bare with us and we'll be in touch as soon as possible.
Still not sure?
