Vintage Inns are our collection of rural pubs where muddy boots and paws are welcome. When you think of Vintage Inns you may think of roaring log fires, traditional food and a cosy atmosphere but have you wondered what it is like to be apart of this charming family?

At the Vintage Inns family, you'll find kind, warm-hearted smiles as welcoming as our gorgeous rural surroundings.

Whether it’s serving up hearty roasts, pouring a refreshing pint of IPA or creating memorable moments for guests, being a part of the Vintage Inns family means making those country escapes special.

In this blog, we get to know members of our Vintage Inns team; Team coach Ragain, Assistant manager Ravi, Graduate Karishisham and Apprentice Chef Keanu who will all be sharing their experiences as a member of the Vintage Inns family.

An environment where you can progress

Ragain joined Vintage Inns in 2017 with experience of working as a waitress in Toby Carvery and as a bar tender in nightclubs. Since returning from maternity leave this year, Ragain has been promoted to the position of Team Coach. What Ragain most enjoys about her role is the time she gets to spend interacting with guests. Her advice for those considering a role as a Team Leader is to just go for it! If you have a passion for developing people and supporting them in their role, then this is the job for you.

A place where you can challenge yourself

Ravi originally joined Vintage Inns in December 2015 as a team member, having expressed a passion for hospitality since a young age. Ravi has worked his way up to become an Assistant Manager, his favourite part of this role is coaching people both on a professional and personal level. Ravi’s advice for anyone considering the role as an Assistant Manager is to be prepared to challenge yourself. If your goal is to develop your experience in hospitality, then this is the role for you!

Learning skills to become a manager

Karishma joined Vintage Inns in August 2021 on the Retail Graduate Scheme, learning all the skills required to become a General Manager. As a retail graduate, Karishma most enjoys the social aspect of her role and the satisfaction she gets when guests are having a great time! Karishma’s advice for anyone considering this role is to be prepared to work hard and embrace the support you receive from other Grads on the scheme.

Hands on experience in the kitchen

Keanu joined Vintage Inns in July 2022 as an Apprentice chef having had experience working as a kitchen assistant. As an Apprentice Chef Keanu most enjoys the hands-on experience and the variety his job role presents him. Keanu’s advice for anyone considering applying for a Chef Apprenticeship is to have confidence and be prepared to think on your feet quickly!
